Company named in the Magic Quadrant for the second consecutive year
Boston – September 6, 2022 – ThreatX, the leading API protection platform, today announced the company has been recognized by Gartner® in the Magic Quadrant for Cloud Web App and API Protection (WAAP). The evaluation was based on specific criteria that analyzed the company’s overall completeness of vision and ability to execute.
ThreatX delivers an integrated platform that empowers customers to protect APIs and web apps against attacks in real time. Backed by its machine learning and AI-powered risk engine, ThreatX detects and analyzes behavioral patterns over time to immediately stop DDoS, complex botnet and multi-mode attacks. ThreatX also provides extensive API protection capabilities, including discovery, attack surface visualization and schema enforcement.
“I am thrilled to see ThreatX recognized in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud WAAP for the second year in a row. We believe this is quite an accomplishment, especially when you consider how rapidly the market is changing,” said Gene Fay, CEO at ThreatX. “Our team has worked hard to deliver new capabilities over the past 12 months while continuing to provide outstanding customer support. We’re excited to build on this progress in the months ahead.”
Recently, ThreatX announced it raised $30 million in Series B funding to accelerate further developments of its platform. This funding follows ThreatX being acknowledged twice as a Sample Vendor in the Gartner Hype CycleTM for Application Security, 2022 report. ThreatX was listed within the API Threat Protection and Cloud WAAP categories.
